Weather talk -- How very British!
Confirming the British obsession with the weather, The Dulux Trade MSA British Rally Championship is pleased to be working in partnership with Meteorological Services for a second successive year in 2011.
The company continues to offer an extremely reliable and accurate weather forecasting service to both teams and spectators for use during all seven events in the 2011 championship season.
Knowledge of weather conditions in advance is particularly important for teams and drivers on both asphalt and gravel. Preparation for wet, muddy roads or bone dry asphalt makes all the difference when it comes to taking those few seconds advantage, so combining an accurate weather report with the correct tyre choice and car setup can be critical to winning single stages or even an entire rally.
Spectators and marshals can also use the service to plan ahead, as the weather forecasts are specific to the events and aim to cover the area of rally HQ, service area and the stages as accurately as possible.
Meteorological Services' weather forecasts will be available to everyone from Monday 21st February when the big red "WEATHER" button goes live on www.rallybrc.co.uk or directly via www.brc-weather.co.uk. Keep checking back as the week progresses, as the forecast is updated each day as the latest meteorological information becomes available.
