Weston welcomes new sponsors ahead of Pirelli
Aberdeen based Dave Weston Junior welcomes two new sponsors on board ahead of this weekends second round of the 2009 MSA British Rally Championship, the Pirelli International Rally, as the 18 year old British Rally Academy member looks to continue his rapid learning curve within the premier division of British Rallying.
After finishing sixth overall on the opening round, the recent Bulldog International Rally of North Wales, Dave Weston Junior is pleased to announce that he will be supported for the rest of the season by two prominent local businesses. Both William Whyte Cargo Handlers and Coltel Communications were so impressed with the teenager's mature performance that they have committed to supporting his 2009 campaign. And Dave is understandably very excited about the new partnerships;
It is a great honour to be associated with both William Whyte Cargo Handlers and Coltel Communications and I am privileged to have been approached by these two highly respected local businesses. I look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership and really hope that the Pirelli goes well this weekend.
I have a better understanding of the car, the pace and what is needed from myself, and with Dave Robson rejoining me in the car I am pretty psyched about the rally!
Dave Robson will rejoin Dave in the Subaru Impreza N14 this weekend, in a partnership that saw the pair finish fourth overall on last years International Rally of Yorkshire, and extends right back to when Weston junior first began rallying.
The Pirelli International Rally is a two day rally based in Carlisle. Featuring two stages run in the dark on Friday night, followed by a further ten tough and demanding tests on Saturday the rally utilises the infamous Kielder Forestry complex. The roads that make up this, the largest man made forest in Europe, are well known for their tough nature and as such provide the ultimate test for man and machine.
