ABRA ANNOUNCES SPONSORSHIP WITH OAKLEY SUNGLASSES
The American Boat Racing Association (ABRA) is proud to announce Oakley, maker of a full array of market-leading products including premium sunglasses, goggles, prescription eyewear, apparel, footwear and accessories, as a sponsor of the 2008 ABRA Hydroplane Series.
Sam Cole, chairman of the ABRA, will present Oakley sunglasses to six drivers of the unlimited hydroplane series at a sponsorship dinner to be held Friday, July 25 at the Lamb Weston Columbia Cup in Kennewick, Wash. Later in the season, Cole will present five more pairs of glasses to top drivers of the ABRA.
"ABRA is excited to be associated with Oakley," said Cole. "Their presence in NASCAR, NHRA, Indy Car, PGA and the X-Games and now with the fastest boats on the water shows how many audiences their products reach."
American Boat Racing Association: The ABRA is the sanctioning body for the fastest raceboats in the world; hulls that reach speeds in excess of 200mph. The next stop on the national ABRA circuit is Seattle at the Chevrolet Cup on August 1-3, 2008.
