TEAM PEPPERS/LUCAS OIL AIMS FOR WIN AT KENNER, LA. OSS RACE

Indianapolis, IN: July 7, 2008. After Coming in third overall in the Sunny Isles Beach, Fl, Historic Offshore Raceboat Association's ( HORBA) 98 mile roundtrip race to Bimini June 20th, Mike and George Stancombe set their sights on the Offshore Super Series Powerboat Racing Association's third race of the season.

"This race was about E.T., not speed. We spent all day Saturday with new set ups to adjust to the new single gear ratio", Peppers/Lucas Oil throttleman,

Michael Stancombe said. Sunday morning with the set up decided, they headed to the water, a last minute weight change was made, and the green flag

dropped as the team sprinted to the lead. There was a fifteen second lead, then disaster struck; a sea strainer filled with seaweed and overheated the port motor.

"We were locked and loaded for the win; we didn't need this to happen, and wanted to show Amsoil's Bob Teague and Paul Whittier who was boss! They did

get a taste, and we'll be back on top again." Driver George Stancombe stated.

Peppers/Lucas Oil Racing is now in Second place in points for the OSS national championship. Two time world champions and three time national champions, George and Mike are founding members of OSS.
