Leading Supercross and Motocross team CDR/Boost Mobile/Yamaha today announced their rider line-up for the 2004 Australian Supercross Nationals and Mr Motocross Outdoor Nationals.
Pro Lites multi-champion Troy Carroll and his 2003 team-mates Cameron Taylor and Darryll King will be joined by talented youngster Daniel McCoy for the 2004 season.
At only 19 years of age McCoy is the youngest rider on the team and cousin of Moto GP rider Garry McCoy.
Team principal Craig Dack said he is very excited about the prospects of his new young charge.
"Daniel is a fantastic young rider and will be a great asset to the team," said Dack.
"With Troy moving up in class this year, we were looking for a talented youngster to contend the Pro Lites class and Daniel is the perfect choice.
Having finished third in the Australian Supercross Championships and fourth in the Australian Motocross Championships in 2003, McCoy is looking forward to contesting the Pro Lites class in both categories for the CDR/Boost Mobile/Yamaha team in 2004.
"I am really looking forward to the 2004 season," said McCoy. "To be signed up by the CDR/Boost Mobile/Yamaha team is a dream come true for me.
"My goal is to learn as much as I can from my team mates Troy Carroll, Cameron Taylor and Darryll King, with the ultimate aim of winning both Championships.
2003 Pro Lites Champion Troy Carroll will step up a class to contest the Pro-Open for both series in 2004.
Carroll's main challenger in the Australian Supercross Nationals Pro Open class will be good friend and 2003 champion Jay Marmont.
"I am looking forward to the rivalry between myself and Jay," said Carroll. "We are good friends off the track and I am really excited about challenging him on the track.
"The step up in class to Pro Open is going to provide me with a huge challenge and I am looking forward to seeing how fast I can go." Carroll concluded.
After a tough 2003 season due to injuries Cameron Taylor returns to contest the Pro Open class in the Australian Supercross Nationals and the Pro Lites class in the Mr Motocross Outdoor Nationals.
2003 Australian Motocross Champion Darryll King will have his work cut out for him contesting both the Pro Open and Pro Lites class in the 2004 Mr Motocross Outdoor Nationals.
