AURORA (February 7, 2003) - Clear Channel Entertainment's Motor Sports division today appointed Anita Helmin to director of marketing, supercross.

Helmin, who graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of Minnesota, Morris in 1998, earned her Masters in Sports Administration and Facility Management from Ohio University in 1999. After brief stints with the Cleveland Rockets (WNBA) and ESPN Corporate, she began working as a promotion manager for supercross in November 1999.

"Anita Helmin has continually displayed a marketing savvy and an unmatched work ethic with her work on supercross over the past three years," said Mark Abernethy, senior director of marketing for Clear Channel's motorcycle division. "I have no doubt that she will step into her new role and excel from day one while leading our supercross marketing efforts."

While continuing to report to Mark Abernethy on a daily basis, Helmin, originally from St. Cloud, Minnesota, will oversee all marketing, promotions, PR, and ticketing functions for THQ World Supercross GP/ AMA Supercross Series.
