Ahamed Yanseen completed his second week in the Asia Talent Cup held at Losail circuit in Qatar last weekend.
The second round of the junior championship was held as a support race to the season opener of 2016 MotoGP championship.
After Yanseen's debut in the first round at Thailand where he finished 16th and 19th respectively in the two races, the Indian teen continued his learning curve in Qatar.
With Somkiat Chantra picking up pole in the one-make championship, the Chennai-based rider qualified 20th, long way off from the polesitter's time.
In the first race on Saturday, Gerry Salim won from Ai Ogura and Kazuki Masaki in a six-way battle with Yanseen finishing 19th fighting with Dwiki Suparta.
Andi Izdihar made it fourth different winner in four Asia Talent Cup races so far, in Sunday's race with Chantra and Salim completing the podium.
Yanseen had a lonely race finishing 18th on his #22 Honda-spec bike, this time ahead of Suparta by over three seconds.
While Salim leads the championship with 71 points, having got three points advantage over Chantra, the 19-year-old Yanseen sits 20th, yet to score his first points.
