OAKLAND, Calif. (January 4, 2004)- After three long years, IFMA Freestyle Motocross presented by XM Satellite Radio landed back in Oakland this past weekend with some tough competition. Newcomer to the IFMA tour, Jim McNeil, showed the Oakland audience that hard work and determination pays off by taking home the first place trophy on Friday after a clean run. Following close behind in second, and missing first place by a mere one-tenth of a point was Andy Jones. Also new to the IFMA tour, Brian Dowdy, impressed the crowd in Oakland by coming in third on Friday with his signature 'holy grab'- a nothing superman ending in a double grab.

Saturday night also showcased some tough competition from the competitors. Once again, McNeil brought his best to Oakland. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to stop 'Backstreet' Andy Jones from taking first place. With Andy's smooth run, big extensions, and no-footer backflip, he was able to take home the first place trophy.

"Everything seemed to click tonight. All the hard work has paid off and hopefully I can be #1 in the end of the year," said Jones. <pre> Friday's IFMA Results 1. Jim McNeil 93.3 2. Andy Jones 93.2 3. Brian Dowdy 93.0

Saturday's IFMA Results 1. Andy Jones 94.0 2. Jim McNeil 93.5 3. Ronnie Renner 93.3

The next stops for the IFMA Freestyle Motocross Series are: January 9-10 Philadelphia, PA Wachovia Spectrum January 9-10 Worcester, Mass. Worcester's Centrum Centre
