EUROPEAN WOMEN'S CUP
Germany, Schleiz 20th-21st August

Who will be the fastest woman in Europe?

We will find out on August 21st in Schleiz, after the final race of the EUROPEAN WOMEN'S CUP, the first European Road Racing Cup entirely dedicated to the women in the history of motorcycling races.

A three races Cup that in the races of Vallelunga (Italy) and Rijeka (Croatia) has witnessed the presence of Italian, French, Hungarian, Croatian and Slovenian women racers.

In Schleiz we will also see Dutch and German racers on the starting grid.

In the category "600" the Italian Alessia Polita on Suzuki GSXR600 of team Celani has good chances to remain on the highest step of the podium, considering that she has already an advantage of 19 points on the second, the Hungarian Petra Sovegjarto (31 points), on Suzuki GSXR600 as well. Petra will fight for the second and third place with the French Lydia Jean (Honda CBR600), who has now 29 points, and the Italian Annalisa Picariello (Honda CBR600) at 26 points.

In the category "1000" there will be a great fight for the first place between the Italian Samuela de Nardi (50 points), who races for the team Aprilia with her RSV1000, and the French Fabienne Migout on Yamaha R1 (40 points). Samuela is now back form the great success of the "8 Hours of Suzuka", where she has taken part to the race with the team Aprilia Motociclismo reaching very good results (43 absolute place among 80 crews, first place in the category "Superstock", first European Bike). She has also got a personal success (10 years had passed since a woman took part to this race and 20 since an European woman raced in the "8 Hours of Suzuka"). Fabienne instead comes on track from the convalescence after her crash in Rijeka (where she reported hand and foot fractures) and she is determined to do her best in Schleiz. The French Sandrine Martin (Yamaha R1), with 24 points, and the Italian Maria Grazia Vita (Ducati 996), 17 points, will battle for the third place.

In Germany we will also see on starting greed new entries in this Cup: from Germany, "home racers", Ela Seestaller (Kawasaki ZX10R), Ilse Roquette (Yamaha R6) and Marion Voigt (Suzuki GSXR 750); the racers Vicky Gray and Iris Ten Katen will represent Holland, both in the category "600" on Honda CBR600RR.

Everybody is invited to this historical appointment in Schleiz on the 21st of August!
