The Championship has been Clinched -- The Battle is on for Second, Third and Fourth.
(Aurora, Ill.) - February 24, 2004 -- Over 8 months of preparation for a 4 month series consisting of 12 rounds of racing comes to an end this weekend at the Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Miss. On Feb. 27 -- 29, 2004. Back in November at the season opener, everyone's eyes were on the prize, the championship, the money and the glory. Now, at round 12 of 12, the championship has been clinched, but no one has given up. The points series is not over and there are still several battles to be completed out on the track this weekend.
Last weekend, in Sacramento, Team Green Chevy Truck Pro Circuit Richmond Kawasaki's Darcy Lange clinched the title after the 250cc main event on Saturday night after earning enough points over second place, Shogun Motorsports Factory Yamaha's Tommy Hofmaster, to win even though there are still four main events left.
With just one round left in the twelve round series, the battle is for third and fourth place with just 20 points separating current third place holder and former 125cc Supercross Champion, John Dowd, and fourth place Tamer Billet Troy Lee American Honda's Justin Brayton. Tommy Hofmaster sits comfortably in the the second place position with 84 points over Dowd. Hofmaster is currently in first place in the Dash for Cash points standings with 7 points over Darcy Lange.
At the end of this weekend, the $100,000 points fund will be payed out to the top twelve riders in the combined 125cc and 250cc points standings. In addition, the $10,000 Dash for Cash points fund will be determined at the end of Saturday night's race.

Adult prices are $17 and $26 and only $11 and $25 for Children ages 2 -- 12 years old. Tickets are $2 more on the day of show. Price includes $1 facility fee.

Fans can get a chance to meet the riders prior to Saturday night's show at the track party. All you need is a Saturday night event ticket and a track pass and you can walk down on the track, get autographs and pictures, and meet the stars of the National Arenacross Series. Track passes are available for free at the box office in advance or can be purchased at the box office on the day of show for $5.
