Robert Hansen Appointed to Director of Arenacross
AURORA, Ill. (August 19, 2004) - Clear Channel Entertainment's Motor Sports division appoints Robert Hansen to director of arenacross.
Hansen joined Clear Channel Entertainment's Motor Sports division seven years ago and was the director of regional arenacross. Hansen will oversee all operations for the National Arenacross Series and all Regional Arenacross events.
"This is a great opportunity, one I have been looking forward to for some time," said Hansen. "I have been involved with arenacross since '89 when I went to Australia to help a local promoter with the American riders. The racing action in small confines is my specialty. After returning to the states with some help from Jim Holley, we started a small arenacross series out west consisting of six venues and 10 years later we were acquired by Clear Channel. Now I am responsible for more than 20 regional events. Now with the national series added to my responsibilities, I'm looking forward to the challenges in the 2004-2005 seasons.
"Robert brings with him great knowledge of the sport and many years of experience with production and logistics," said Todd Jendro, senior director of operations, Clear Channel Entertainment - Motor Sports. "I look forward to Robert's contributions to Arenacross."
Hansen, who has more than 20 years of experience in the motorcycle industry, will report to Jendro in his new role.
