There is no race report - there was no race. Round three of the British F3 International Series, due to be held late on Saturday afternoon at Spa, had to be cancelled when the weather turned against us. Heavy rain in the early afternoon gave way to dense fog, which was so thick in places that you couldn't see from one marshal's post to the next. Under the circumstances, the organisers had no option but to cancel the race. It will be run at a later date, most likely at Knockhill in May. With the weather looking unlikely to improve on Sunday, it is highly likely that Round 4 may also end up being run somewhere else.

And Round 4 was canceled...

Whoever decided to schedule the LMES calendar as they have for 2005 must now be feeling more than a little silly. With one round in Belgium (Spa-Francorchamps) and one in Italy (Monza), the logical choice would have been to run the Italian race in spring and the Belgian race in the summer, but that isn't what was decided. Instead, we had Spa in April (and last week the track was under a meter of snow), and the inevitable has now happened. The weather was even worse than on Saturday evening, so round 4 is also cancelled, to be run at some later date.

Next Races: Rounds 5 & 6, Croft, Yorkshire, May 7th/8th, 2005
