Canadian driver anxious to compete at next event

OTTAWA, ON - Majorspeed.com driver Philip Major has finally gotten the call that most drivers dream about. Carlin Motorsport, clearly one of the top teams in European motorsport, has called on Major to compete in the remaining rounds of the 2009 British F3 International Series.

"I have been given a fantastic opportunity to race for Carlin Motorsport," a very excited Major said. "I am really looking forward to racing with the team."

Major, who competed in the British F3 International Series last year as a rookie is looking forward to getting back into action in the highly competitive series. "It was tough sitting out at the start of the year, but now, I am even hungrier to get back to racing. With the championship nearly half over, we are clearly focused on winning races."

Martin Stone of Carlin Motorsport is happy to have Major on board for the rest of the season. "We are delighted that Philip has joined with us for the rest of the season. We watched him last year and we're sure he'll do very well this year with us," Stone said.

Major, who has been back home in Ottawa, Ontario for the past couple of weeks, will now pack his bags and head back to Oxford, UK to begin preparing for the next event at Snetterton.

"It was great to spend a little time at home, and I had a really good couple of days helping out an Atlantic team at Shannonville. Now, I will leave for the UK straight away and I will be prepared for the series test at Snetterton before competing in my first race this year," Major added.
