Álvaro Parente bets strongly on recovering positions

The British F.3 Championship moves on to its third event, to be run at the Croft Track during the 1st and 2nd of May. Portuguese driver, Alvaro Parent is keen on recovering positions on the classifying chart after having an unlucky season start at Donington. At the time, the Luís Figo sponsored driver had obtained the "pole posiition" when he was hit by a fellow driver on his Dallara-Mugen Honda, comprimising his chances at a rostrum finish.

During his next race at Silverstone - which only had one race - the second was anuled due to the overcast skies - Alvaro Parente had trouble finding the right set up for his one-seater, leading to an 8th position finish.

"The results of the first three races were not what I had expected, but I will not lose faith. Now at Croft, with a more competitive car I will have more leverage to fight for the leading three", remarks the Luís Figo Foundation driver, recalling the track he will be running on the upcoming Saturday and Sunday:

"During the two days of pré-season testing, I was the thrid fastest driver at Croft and I belive I will be able to do it again. For now, the important thing is to recover positions in the Championship, especially since it has proven to be very competitive as no one driver has been able to win two consecutive races".
