Fastest Lap Time: 01:15.229

Frisselle raced for the first time at Portland International Raceway this past weekend, in Round Five of the 2003 Barber Dodge Pro Series. Friday's practice presented a challenging situation for the young rookie from Hawaii, as it was a drying session. "I did not get as much track time in the dry as I would have liked, so I am going into tomorrow's qualifying with limited data," Frisselle noted. "However, I feel good about the car and the track and look forward to a great race weekend!'

Qualifying Session 1
Position Qualified: 10th
Fastest Lap Time: 01:15.152

Friday afternoon's qualifying session was held in fairly wet conditions, creating a slick and challenging track for the drivers to maneuver. Frisselle, who was running in P2 and P3 throughout most of the session, was disappointed with his P10 finish. "It basically came down to the last few minutes of the session, as the track dried out. Unfortunately, I was held up in lap traffic at the end and caught the checkered flag early, so I was not able to execute the fast laps that I had hoped to, "Frisselle stated. "I'm not happy with my P10 finish, but I look forward to a better session tomorrow!"

Qualifying Session 2
Position Qualified: 8th
Fastest Lap Time: 01:25.859

The second qualifying session of the weekend was held in completely wet conditions on slick tires, posing a tremendous challenge the young rookie and his competitors. Due to the slick track, lap times were significantly slower than the previous day. "We decided to play it safe and protect the car, because we knew that the track conditions would prevent us from improving upon our position from yesterday," Frisselle said. "It was definitely a frustrating session and I am disappointed with the outcome, but given the conditions, I did the best job possible."

Position Started: 10th
Position Finished: 6th
Fastest Lap Time: 01:14.536

Sunday's race got off to an exciting start, as several cars got caught up in the first turn of lap one. Frisselle maneuvered through the initial chaos, and made his way from P10 to P6 by the end of the first lap. The young rookie from Hawaii drove exceptionally well, engaging in an intense battle for P4 with German Quiroga and Dan Di Leo for much of the race. "I am very pleased with my performance today," Frisselle stated. "Although I would have preferred a top five finish, considering my P10 start as well as the conditions of the weekend, I am very pleased to come away with ten championship points."
