Burt Frisselle participated in Round 3 of the 2003 Barber Dodge Pro Series this past weekend at the Milwaukee Mile in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The young rookie from Hawaii began the weekend focusing on car set-up and familiarizing himself with racing on an oval. "Today went very well," Frisselle stated. "I definitely feel that we are going in the right direction with the car set-up and driving strategy."

Friday morning's practice session went very well for Frisselle. "We have achieved a great set-up with the car this weekend and everything felt great today. I am confident and excited for qualifying this afternoon."
Qualifying Session 1
Position Qualified: 6th
Fastest Lap Time: 00:29.969
The single car qualifying session presented a high pressure situation for Frisselle, who executed two impressive lap times, placing him in P6. "I am pleased with my performance, as this was my first time doing single car qualifying. I know that I could have pushed a bit harder, but I wanted to protect the car and not take too great of a risk," Frisselle stated. "I feel that I could have qualified in the top three, but P6 is not a bad place to be!"
Position Started: 6th
Position Finished: 5th
Frisselle drove an exceptional race on Saturday, finishing in the top five in what is only his third pro series race as a rookie. "Today's race was definitely a success. The car was set-up perfectly and handled extremely well," Frisselle commented. "Unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to pass on an oval when you are caught in dirty air, so I was able to gain only one position. I definitely feel that I could have run in the top three, but finishing in the top five is a great result." Young Frisselle placed highest of all the rookie drivers and states that he is "looking forward to Laguna Seca," where he hopes to claim a podium finish.
