After getting off to a flying start in the 2003 season with a 2nd place result in St. Petersburg and competing in the first oval race of his career at the Milwaukee Mile, Daniel Di Leo (Daniel Di Leo Auto Sports/Select Auto Collision) heads to Monterey, CA to contend in round 4 of the Barber Dodge Pro Series (BDPS) at the famous Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca. While being in the hunt all season, this second year driver finds himself sitting a strong third in the point race.

After three top 10 results, the 21-year-old Markham, Ontario resident is very eager about this event as he enters Laguna with plenty of excitement and experience. Di Leo hopes that this will give him an advantage over his competitors at this tough challenging road course. "I've been strong all season and now I will get the chance to race on a track that I have already competed on." Daniel is referring to two previous races in both the Skip Barber National Championship and the BDPS events where he has had some strong runs.

Di Leo hits Laguna looking for his first career BDPS win to help catapult him improve in the point standings "I am going to race as hard as I can for the win but will also play it safe to bring home as many points as possible."

Daniel will hit the track on Friday June 13 at 8:00am for his first practice session of the weekend and he will look to put his Select Auto Collision race car on the pole in provisional qualifying at 1:00pm.
