Holley Performance Group, USAC announce $20,000 Earl's Pro-Lite 350 Hose Fast Qualifier Championship

Participants in five major USAC racing series in 2002 will compete for a $20,000 "winner-take-all" prize posted by Earl's Performance Products, Inc., a division of Holley Performance Group, headquartered in Bowling Green, Ky.

The "Earl's Pro-Lite 350 Hose USAC Fast Qualifier Championship will encompass National races in the USAC Silver Crown, Sprint Car and Midget Series as well as Western races in the Sprint and Midget Series. The program, designed to recognize the National "qualifying champion" for 2002, incorporates an internationally-recognized point system, with nine points for fast time, six for second, four for third, three for fourth, two for fifth and one for sixth. The driver earning the most points during 2002 will be presented the $20,000 award at USAC's National Awards Dinner in January, 2003.

"This program is evidence of the high-profile sponsorships our series offer," said USAC Director of Sales & Marketing Steve Farmer. "We believe this Fast Qualifier Championship will create unprecedented competition and new track records as drivers compete for this lucrative bonus."

Bobby Writesman, Manager of Circle Track Motorsports for Holley Performance Group, added: "Holley has been aware of USAC for years and we've wanted to be involved in this form of motorsports. Now, with Holley's purchase of Earl's, their long-term USAC association provided a good match which we believe will be beneficial for both Holley and USAC. The tremendous exposure USAC provides will help us develop a program applicable to all of USAC's extremely competitive series."
