Rush Enterprises looks to ride the momentum of a fifth place finish in the USAR Hooters ProCup event at Chemung Speedrome in Chemung, NY into the first of the Four Champions Championship Series events this weekend.
The #83 Rush Enterprises Chevrolet, driven by Lonnie Rush, Sr., site 11th in the Northern series year end points standings, only eight points out of 10th place. Along with this accomplishment the team is also excited to announce its re-association with Precision Metal Works (PMW) and Kiwk-Way Products Inc.
PMW is a leading manufacturer of parts washing and equipment and automotive lifts. The Company features a full line of automotive-related lifts including low rise, two-post, four-post and scissors type units. Their products are sold worldwide under as many as 12 different brand names.
Kwik-Way Products has been a leader of developing equipment to rebuild engines and repair brakes on vehicles for over 80 years. The true lasting power of these machines is evident in the thousands of 30-plus year old Kwik-Way Valve Refacers, Boring Bars and Seat Grinders that are still in use around the world today.
With established backing from these fine companies, Rush’s racing operation has its sights set on a chunk of the $1 million dollars up for grabs as the North and South divisions collide in championship competition. The first stop on the schedule is Jennerstown Speedway in Jennerstown, PA. The top 50 points finishers at the end of regular season events will go head-to-head to determine the overall season victor.
The tour will visit Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Concord, N.C. before wrapping up the season in Lakeland, Fl. Rush will add these racing highlights to his expansive knowledge of the sport as he and his team work to out-do this“ rookie” season in the Hooters ProCup Northern Division in 2002.
