CENTENNIAL, Colo. (September 17, 2001) - SCCA Pro Racing is pleased to announce that TQ Racing, the merchandising arm of Travel Quest, has been appointed the "Exclusive Merchandiser" of the Speedvision World Challenge Series and SCCA Pro Racing. TQ Racing is also the provider for all Sports Car Club of America-related merchandise.
"We are pleased to expand on our relationship with Travel Quest," said David Delaney, Director of Sales for the Speedvision GT & Touring Car Championships. "TQ Racing will be providing our fan base with the merchandise that will support the GT and Touring Car Championships as our series continues to grow to new levels."
Although TQ Racing came on board late in the 2001 World Challenge season, the SCCA Pro Racing and World Challenge merchandise sold out before weekend's end during Round Eight of the Championships at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Raceway, September 7-9.
"We're very excited to be the Official Merchandiser for the World Challenge," said Mark Adams of Travel Quest. "Our relationship with the Sports Car Club of America, SCCA Pro Racing and the World Challenge continues to blossom. We absolutely sold out at Mazda Raceway and are looking to do the same at the final event at Road Atlanta in October. TQ Racing will utilize SCCA Pro Racing's new logo on shirts, hats and a number of other items for the event."
In addition, TQ Racing will provide all SCCA cornerworker shirts for the season finale, which happens to be a doubleheader, at Road Atlanta, October 4-6.
TQ Racing has also been named "Official Merchandiser" for Speedvision World Challenge GT driver Jimmy Adams, pilot of the No. 77 Southern Comfort Porsche 911 GT3 Cup sponsored by Motor Coach Industries.
