Speedway officials embarked on a reconstruction of the Dirt Track grandstand late last year to improve sightlines for the fans. The angle of the seating from row 12 through row 44 was increased significantly to give a clear view of the four-tenths mile clay speedway.
"Somewhere in the original construction there was an engineering error which resulted in sightlines that were not acceptable," said Eddie Gossage, speedway executive vice-president and general manager. "We are anxious for our Dirt Track fans to see the improvements. We know they will be pleased."
