Stirling Moss has today joined SCi in the fast lane. SCi announced that Stirling Moss is to collaborate on its forthcoming computer and video driving games based on the famous "Mille Miglia" race.

Stirling Moss is particularly famous for his record breaking circuit of the internationally renowned "Mille Miglia" race. In 1955 Moss completed the 1000 miles in a staggering 10 hours, 7 minutes and 48 seconds in a Mercedes 300 SLR. The average speed around the Italian towns and countryside was over 98 mph - a record that remains unbeaten to this very day.

Born 17th September 1929, Moss has had a prestigious career including 16 Grand Prix wins, 16 pole positions, 20 fastest laps and won 194 out of 466 career races. Stirling Moss was inducted to the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in 1990 and was Knighted in the recent New Years honour list.

The "Mille Miglia" is a classic car race which has taken place in Italy in May, since 1927. Some of the greatest cars ever built have taken part in it - the Aston Martin DB2 Berlinetta; the Ferrari 860 Monza Spider Scaglietti and the Mercedes 300 SLR to name but a few. Racing legends such as Moss, Fangio, Collins and Nuvolari have taken part in this race which covers 1000 miles of spectacular Italian scenery from Brescia in the north to Rome in the south.

Said Bill Ennis, Commercial Director of SCi, "We are delighted that Stirling Moss, the most famous racing driver in the world and the Mille Miglia record holder, has chosen to join us on this project. The combination of Stirling Moss' reputation, skill and experience and SCi's groundbreaking driving technology will make this a winning series of computer games."

The Mille Miglia computer games will be developed for PlayStation, Next Generation consoles and on-line/internet gaming.
