DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 3, 2000)

The Grand American Road Racing Association announced today that Stand 21 has become the Official Fire Suit of the first-year organization. The suits, specially designed for this series, will be worn by all technical and trackside officials during the nine-race 2000 season, beginning with this weekend s Rolex 24 At Daytona.

Stand 21 has been involved in motorsports for several decades and we are pleased to have the opportunity to be involved with the Grand American Road Racing Association from the very beginning, said Helene Axelsson, General Manager of Stand 21 USA.

We are thrilled to add Stand 21 to our growing list of official suppliers, said Bruce Mosley, Director of Marketing for the Grand American Road Racing Association.

It has a well-deserved reputation as a quality manufacturer of protective fire suits and other top safety equipment products. The fact that Stand 21 designed suits specifically for our series shows a great commitment on the part of the company. Stand 21 is an internationally recognized manufacturer of safety equipment. The company is on-site at this weekend's Rolex 24 At Daytona to serve the needs of Grand-Am competitors.

Based in Daytona Beach, Fla., home of the legendary Rolex 24 At Daytona, the Grand American Road Racing Association s mission is to become the premier sanctioning body for professional sports car road racing in North America, as well as the rallying point for its tradition, history and lifestyle activities.
