PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- SSC Racing, American's leading karting company, has formed a new division to manage and promote Rotax products and racing series, announced company President Joe Ramos. Additionally, Steve Cannon has joined SSC Racing as the new Rotax Division Manager.
Cannon and his staff will focus solely on Rotax-related activities, including:
* Overseeing all aspects of regional distribution
* Supporting Rotax Technical Director Scott Evans and Race Director Tom Argy
* Recording and monitoring all official R-Max Challenges and R-Max Club members
* Oversee website development
* Managing Rotax advertising (with Aaron Justus of Manifest) and public relations (with Medley Communications)
"I'm absolutely ecstatic about working with Joe Ramos and his team at SSC Racing," Cannon said. "With the virtually maintenance free Rotax power plants plus the Rotax Max Challenge series, we are on the brink of a true revolution in the karting industry. I am so fortunate and proud to be a part of it."
Cannon is uniquely qualified to manage the new SSC Rotax Division. A graduate from the University of Arizona with a degree in Finance and Marketing, Cannon brings a wide range of management experience that includes customer service, sales and marketing, television production, distribution and communication skills.
