ALLEN, TX (January 25) -- The Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series signed a contract extension with the Sprint Car Network Friday that will ensure live broadcasts of the sport’s premier races for another three years on SCN Radio.

SCN Radio will broadcast 28 Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series events over 58 dates this season, starting with its inaugural visit to Hollywood Hills Speedway in New Mexico on March 9th, starting at 10 p.m. Eastern Time.

"We at the World of Outlaws are very pleased to have the Sprint Car Network broadcast our races again," series President Ted Johnson said. "Having more than 55 live races on the radio and the Internet shows how much we're growing. It's an exciting time in our history."

SCN General Manager Mike Martin was happy to extend its relationship with sprint car racing’s premier series.

"Ted Johnson and Carlton Reimers have been extremely supportive of our network and we are looking forward to working with them and the entire World of Outlaws staff over the next few years," SCN General Manager Mike Martin said. "Our affiliate (radio station) list is growing and our listening audience on the World Wide Web reaches as far as Thailand. It truly is the World of Outlaws."

Fans can tune their radios to 35 affiliates in 20 states for live Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series broadcasts. SCN Radio broadcasts can also be heard on its Internet web site, located at http://www.sprintcarnet.com.

SCN Radio has a variety of veteran sprint car racing announcers to bring the exciting racing action to Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series fans around the globe, including Wayne Harper, Bobby Gerould, Ralph Sheheen, Rod Pattison, Lannie Nichols, Bob Harris and Tom Greenwood.

SCN Radio will continue broadcasting the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series’ most celebrated events, including the Spring Nationals at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, the Southern Bleacher Classic at Texas Motor Speedway, the Outlaws Showdown at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, the Eagle Nationals at Eagle Raceway, the Iowa Classic at Knoxville Raceway, the Duel in the Dakotas at Red River Valley Speedway, the Eldora Clash and Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway, the Night Before the Big One at Eldora Speedway, the Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway, the O’Reilly Texas Showdown at Texas Motor Speedway, the Williams Grove National Open at Williams Grove Speedway, the Outlaws Championship at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, the Winter Nationals at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, the Lone Star Classic at Houston Raceway Park and the Season Finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
