CLEVELAND, OH (November 22) -- Parker Hannifin Corporation, along with the more than 300 affiliated ParkerStores worldwide are, pleased to announce they will extend their sponsorship with Donny Schatz Motorsports for the 2001 racing season.
"Donny has been a great representative of Parker Hannifin and the ParkerStores," Harry Waldron, ParkerStore Manager, said. "The interest and exposure for the ParkerStore name just continues to grow. The Schatz family runs a first-class racing operation and we are pleased to be part of their 2001 racing campaign."
Schatz completed the 2000 Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway recently. He finished 11th in the final point standings. Schatz was the runner-up in the season's biggest event, the 40th Annual Amoco Knoxville Nationals. He won the prestigious Williams Grove National Open and a Preliminary Feature in the TALK.com Outlaws Championship at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway. The young outlaw also received The Vivarin Perseverance Award at the series' 23rd annual awards banquet.
"We didn't run up front as much as we would have liked to this past season," Schatz said. "We're going to do things a little differently over the winter this year. We're going to focus on our World of Outlaws program and, hopefully, come out strong in the spring. We've had a lot of changes over the past six months, but I think we have everything in place to start running up front."
