The first race under the GSC banner will take place on July 24th and will feature Late Model Sportsman, Hobby Stock, Super Stock and Enduro. "We are going to return to racing as it used to be."stated Evans. We are going to have some different races, some new formats of racing and we are going to make going to the races an exciting experience. We want the fans and racers who come to the speedway to enjoy their time there and to be able to race under the best possible conditions that we can provide. I can assure you things are going to be different, starting right now." For the present, there will be no rule changes in any class, but a complete review of all rules will be accomplished in the next few weeks. The full schedule of events for the speedway will be announced shortly, but the 24th will serve as a practice day for the National Late Model Series which is scheduled to be at Cordele for a two-day $5,000-to-win event on August 13 and 14. On July 24th, Gates will open at 4:30 with hot laps starting at 7:00 and racing at 8:00. Come out and experience the new attitde at one of the South's fastest dirt tracks, Cordele Motor Speedway.
