Beginning with the announcement of the alliance between CART and Skip Barber, Inc, the show got off to an auspicious beginning, and the momentum kept rolling.

News of the CART-Skip Barber alliance was greeted warmly and enthusiastically. Driver Relations Director Rick Ratacjzak and Managing Director Jeremy Dale devoted an extensive time to cultivating international prospects for the both the CART Barber Dodge Pro Series and the CART Skip Barber Formula Dodge National Championship.

"It was a record-setting weekend. The interest has never been higher," said Ratacjzak. "We've spoken with a lot of people who are very well informed about our series and are looking to make the move to racing in America."

The addition of having a Formula Dodge R/T 2000 drew extra attention.

"I've had numerous meaningful discussions with people who are interested in the Skip Barber Formula Dodge Regional and National Championships," added Rataczjak.

That wraps our coverage from the Autosport International Show at the NEC in Birmingham, England.
