Announcing innovative IUPUI - REN Partnership
INDIANAPOLIS INDIANA (April 5, 2005) - An innovative joint venture between Racing Employment Network (REN) and Indiana University-Purdue School of Engineering and Technology (IUPUI) has been launched today.
Students and graduates interested in pursuing a career in motorsports through intern or full time employment can post their resumes on the Racing Employment Network website free of charge until they are chosen by an employer.
Recognizing that successes on and off the racetrack are a direct result of connecting the right people with the right position, Racing Employment Network has been formed. Made up of a partnership of veteran members of the racing industry, Racing Employment Network is an Internet based employment service 100% dedicated to the niche racing industry.
Boasting job listings from first class racing teams and organizations such as Honda Performance Development, Target Chip Ganassi Racing Teams, Rahal- Letterman Racing, RuSport, Rocketsports Racing, Walker Racing, and Ilmor Racing Engines to name just a few, Racing Employment Network is fast becoming the 'single source' for teams to find the candidates they are looking for.
Motorsports today is going through quite a transformation. With shrinking team budgets, and numerous teams in different racing series chasing the same sponsorship dollars, winning results are paramount in helping to secure funding. Teams recognize the importance of getting well educated engineers, as the development ideas come from them. They are the ones who can find the extra performance in an increasingly restricted environment. Recent college graduates are of interest to the teams because they bring fresh ideas to the table. Equally important to the teams is the opportunity to gain access to fresh pools of labor at affordable costs.
"I can't think of a better way for students and graduates interested in a racing career to become noticed by the decision makers in racing than by taking advantage of this innovative program. Our easy to use registration process, and links to the movers and shakers of the racing industry make this a win-win situation for the applicants and employers" said Jeff Swartwout, President of Racing Employment Network.
Racing Employment Network (REN) was launched in the winter of 2004 as a dedicated human resources portal serving the racing industry. Unlike other aggregator job boards, REN exclusively caters to this specific audience, with unique features and functions that pertain only to the racing industry.
This online resource is dedicated to reduce the time and cost attached to current hiring operations for racing teams, and simultaneously creates a single source point for potential employees to review the latest and most comprehensive list available jobs.
