NATMUS proudly announces the replacement Executive Director for our recently departed John Wilks. He is Lawrence W. Dent (Larry to friends) of Auburn, In.

Larry has been involved with cars for most of his life. He currently has a collection of vintage and collectable cars somewhere in the 15 to 20 count (he says if you have to count you have too many), and around 10 or 12 motorcycles. 5 of his motorcycles and 2 cars are currently on display at the museum. He also drives a Lola race car in SCCA racing events, and he is a nationally recognized race official with several road race sanctioning bodies.

In addition to his automobile collecting background, he also brings business expertise to the position. He has owned several area business, including an automobile engine rebuilding company, a retail store in Glenbrook Shopping Center, and was Vice President of Sales for K and K Insurance Company for several years.

Larry has served on the NATMUS Board of Directors for several years now. Because of his automobile knowledge, his business background, and his enthusiastic participation with NATMUS, he was considered a natural for the post of Executive Director.

NATMUS is looking forward to continued growth and prosperity under the leadership of our new Executive Director, Larry Dent.

John Martin Smith, Chairman of the Board, Natmus Museum
