New Egypt, NJ (June 6) -- Office Mates 5 of Englewood Cliffs, NJ -- quick to pick up on the capabilities of New Egypt Speedway's state-of-the-art computerized scoring and timing system -- is offering some quick cash to the fastest drivers this season at the Central Jersey track.
Every week, the Office Mates 5 Lightning Lap Award will pay bonus dollars to the driver who turns the single quickest lap during the feature event in the big-block Modified, Sportsman and Street Stock divisions. That single fast lap will be worth an extra $50 to the Modified jackrabbit, and $25 to the night's hot dogs in the Sportsman and Street Stock classes.
The Lightning Lap will be monitored during the night's events by the track's AMB TranX260 computerized scoring and timing system, employing the same cutting-edge technology used in Formula 1, NASCAR Winston Cup, CART, IRL, SCCA, World of Outlaws and AMA racing around the world. New Egypt is one of only five dirt short tracks in the country to utilize the high-tech system on a weekly basis, making the Office Mates 5 award a unique bonus opportunity that no other speedway in the Northeast has the ability to offer.
"It's exciting to be involved with New Egypt Speedway and this new award," said Office Mates 5 of Englewood Cliffs owner Alice Eckstein. "It's a positive, competitive promotion at a racetrack that fosters a positive, competitive environment and we're very happy to be there."
Office Mates 5 of Englewood Cliffs is a recruiting firm/employment agency offering professional placement for corporate clients in Central and Northern New Jersey. In business for 15 years, Ms. Eckstein and Office Mates 5 also sponsor the #00 Street Stock driven by Evan Berardi at New Egypt each week.
