Hasbro Interactive announces licensing agreement with NASCAR

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 23, 1999) Leading interactive games publisher Hasbro Interactive today announced a five-year licensing agreement to develop family and children's software games and interactive toys based on the exciting world of NASCAR. The license covers all gaming hardware platforms and also allows Hasbro Interactive to develop action titles for the mass-market audience.

The partnership brings together today's fastest growing sporting organization with one of the foremost providers of interactive family entertainment to create dynamic new products featuring NASCAR events, speedways and heroes.

Hasbro Interactive plans to put kids of all ages behind-the-wheel and behind-the-scenes to experience first-hand the excitement and adventure of NASCAR. Leading NASCAR drivers will also be featured in the new games.

NASCAR is the fastest growing sport in North America, generating an estimated $2 billion in annual revenues. With more than 250 million spectators across the country, it also boasts one of the most enthusiastic and loyal fan bases today.

Hasbro Interactive's first NASCAR products will launch in late 1999 and early 2000. Among the first titles released will be CD-ROM Playsets for kids, Hasbro Interactive's innovative new technology that combines the hands-on fun of tactile toys with the magic of multimedia software. Hasbro Interactive's parent company, Hasbro Inc., produces a wide range of toys and games based on the NASCAR license, including the popular Winners Circle Series.
