Grand Opening set for new suites & garage complex for January 17.

MONTEREY, Calif. (January 8, 2003) - The general public is invited to attend the unveiling of the new Premier Pit Row Suites and Garages at the grand opening scheduled for Friday, January 17, at 4:00 p.m., in the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca paddock.
The Premier Pit Row Suites consist of 12 state-of the-art suites, situated on top of 10 double-car garages. The new complex, which is Phase 1 of a major capital improvement campaign for the facility, also includes a catering kitchen and men's and women's restrooms.
Admission to the grand opening is free. Fans can tour the new suite and garage complex from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
The 2003 racing season at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca consists of five events over five consecutive months: CART Grand Prix of Monterey, June 13-15; Honda International Superbike Classic, July 11-13; 30th Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races, August 15-17; Monterey Sports Car Championships, September 5-7; and the U.S. Sports Car Invitational, October 3-5.

Race events at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca have resulted in more than $10 million being distributed to Monterey Peninsula and Central California groups for youth programs and community service projects, and have generated more than $1 billion in revenue for area businesses. Today, SCRAMP is the most important economic and charitable organization in Monterey County.
