CLEVELAND (January 24, 2000) - H. Kent "Bud" Stanner, IMG Motorsports President, announced today the promotion of Jeff Orloff and Graham Hearns to new positions in IMG-North America and IMG Motorsports, respectively.
Jeff Orloff has been promoted to Vice President, Director of Facilities and Operations-North America for IMG. Graham Hearns has been appointed to succeed Orloff as the Vice President of Operations and Business Affairs for IMG Motorsports.
"We wish Jeff Orloff well as he moves into his new position within IMG. He has been a key player in the growth of IMG Motorsports over the past eight years," said IMG Motorsports President H. Kent "Bud" Stanner. "Graham Hearns has demonstrated his ability to get things done efficiently and effectively in his previous operations role. This should make for a smooth transition."
Jeff Orloff will have a limited role in the operations of the Marconi Grand Prix of Cleveland and Tenneco Automotive Grand Prix of Detroit due to his new responsibilities in North American Administration for IMG. Graham Hearns will immediately manage and oversee all operations activities for the two CART FedEx Championship Series events. Hearns will report on a daily basis to IMG Motorsports Vice President Denny Young and will continue to work primarily from the IMG Motorsports office in Detroit.
Prior to joining IMG, Orloff earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1985. He also graduated from Case Western Reserve University Law School in 1988 and passed the bar exam in 1989. He started with IMG as an intern in 1986 followed by two years as Special Assistant to the Chairman. He moved to the IMG Motorsports division in 1992 and most recently served as Vice President of Operations.
Upon earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Hearns was a volunteer staff member for the 1994 Grand Prix of Cleveland. After interning for several months, he was hired part time by IMG's track and fitness division to handle operations and marketing duties for a major track and field event. He returned to IMG Motorsports in 1995 and most recently served as Director of Operations focusing on the Cleveland and Detroit races.
IMG Motorsports, a division of International Management Group (IMG), is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio.
