Ralphs Grocery Company invites race fans of all ages to meet some of NASCAR's biggest stars, get a driver's eye view of their show cars, take a ride in a NASCAR racing simulator and enter for a chance to drive a late model Stock Car around the _-mile Irwindale Speedway at the 3rd annual Ralphs Race Fest on Thursday, April 26 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Irwindale Speedway in Irwindale, CA. As in previous years, top NASCAR drivers are scheduled to appear at Ralphs Race Fest including two-time Winston Cup Champion Terry Labonte and Ralphs-sponsored NASCAR driver Brett Bodine. Drivers will be signing autographs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Race fans can get free admission to this year's event by showing their Ralphs Club Card at the Irwindale Speedway admission gate. Tickets will also be available at the Irwindale Speedway box office. Admission prices are $10 without a Ralphs Club Card, children 12 and under are free. Parking is free.
Fans will have an opportunity to take pictures with show cars on display and demonstrate their driving prowess in the racing simulators, (a computerized NASCAR stock car). Participating NASCAR sponsors will showcase their products, offering free samples, contests, and prize giveaways. KFRG radio, 95.1 FM, will broadcast live from the event; holding contests and awarding prizes throughout the day.
New this year is the opportunity for 50 lucky race fans to win a chance to be in the drivers' seat of a late model Chevrolet Monte Carlo stock car and speed around the 1/2-mile oval of Irwindale Speedway during the Race Fest. The Chevrolet Monte Carlos are being provided by the Race Training Centers Driving School at the Speedway. A drawing will be held during the event to determine the winners.
