INDIANAPOLIS, August 28, 2000 – Pi Research recorded victories again in Indy Racing League at the inaugural race for Kentucky Motor Speedway, confirming the company’s position as the leading manufacturer of performance electronics and data acquisition. In the eighth round of the 2000 Northern Lights Indy Racing League, Buddy Lazier driving for Hemelgarn Racing, holds a strong lead for points due to his victory in the Belterra Resort Indy 300. Team name currently runs System 5Star. The second in points, Scott Goodyear driving for Panther Racing, uses the latest data acquisition system called Pi Sigma Indy.

Jeff Kitchen, CART Business Manager, commented on the weekend “we are pleased that the points leader is a Pi customer. We are proud that the majority of the field uses our system with great success.”

In addition to the Indy Racing League, Pi systems are used by winners in the following series: CART, Lights, Atlantics, Winston Cup, Busch Grand National, ALMS and SCCA.
