Nazareth, PA (March 13, 2002) Nazareth Speedway President Craig Rust announced today that Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH) will serve as the Official Health and Wellness Center of Nazareth Speedway for the 2002-2004 racing seasons.

"We are excited about this partnership," said Rust. "Not only will Lehigh Valley Hospital support our racing events through excellent medical coverage with the University MedEvac helicopter, but we also look forward to working with them in the community."

LVH is the region's only burn center and both the hospital and Nazareth Speedway are active supporters of the Burn Prevention Foundation, a cause that Nazareth Speedway has been actively involved in for five years through presenting sponsorship of the annual Guman- Spagnola-Wolf Golf Classic.

"We're proud to partner with Nazareth Speedway as the facility's official health and wellness provider," said Richard Shurgalla, administrative director for emergency services at LVH. "It's an honor for Lehigh Valley Hospital to be entrusted with providing trauma services and other care at a first-class facility like Nazareth. Injury prevention is our priority, and we respect and admire the dedication to promoting safety by this organization and those who participate in events here."
