INDIANAPOLIS, Tuesday, May 23, 2000 -- Nokia, the world's leading mobile phone supplier, recently announced a three-year sponsorship with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to be "The Preferred Mobile Phone" for the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 races. This sponsorship expands Nokia's presence in sports from the biggest college football event, the Nokia Sugar Bowl, to the largest single-day sporting event in the world, the Indianapolis 500, and the second largest, the Brickyard 400.
