INDIANAPOLIS, Saturday, May 13, 2000 - Damon's Restaurants will return to the Indianapolis 500 in 2000 with driver Tyce Carlson and Hubbard-Immke Racing for the 84th running of the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing." This will be Damon's second partnership at the Indianapolis 500, also having sponsored Carlson in 1999. All 140 Damon's Restaurants throughout the U.S. will telecast the race on their giant video screens and run contests around

Carlson's performance during the race. Damon's has partnered with Royal Spa and Derek Daly's Performance Driving Academy to award vacation trips, spas, driver's schools and a potential $100,000 prize to a Damon's customer if they pick the top five finishers in the race with Carlson winning.

"We participated in the Indy 500 with Tyce last year, and it brought a new level of excitement to our restaurants," said Damon's CEO Shannon Foust. "Besides being a great racer, Tyce is a quality person, and we feel he represents our company style and image."

Carlson, from Indianapolis, will attempt to qualify for his third Indianapolis 500. His best finish was 14th in 1999.

"We're very proud to have Damon's return to the Speedway with our team this year," Carlson said. "We've done a lot of testing and feel this is our best opportunity to run up front, and we want to share this with everyone at Damon's."
