BECHTELSVILLE, PA January 29, 2001 . . . A full color schedule brochure, including exciting photographs of racing action at Grandview Speedway, is now available to race fans. Schedules may be obtained by sending a self addressed stamped envelope to Grandview Speedway, 87 Wilt Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505. The 2001 season, the 39th consecutive season of professional auto racing at the Berks County oval, will get the green flag on Saturday, March 31. A free-to-the-public practice session will have a 12 noon starting time. Officially the point chase for the lucrative Modified and Late Model stock car racing titles at the one-third-mile, banked clay oval starts on Saturday, April 7. The 5 p.m. show will include the Modifieds, Late Models and PA Sportsman stock cars. It will also be the first event at which two lucky fans, each Saturday night, will have opportunity to win a ride in the new two seat modified stock car. Ray Swinehart (J&L Speed Equipment) created the special race car. One of track's top racers will give the two fans the thrill of a lifetime each Saturday night.
