Las Vegas -- Brendan Gaughan and Orleans Racing are pleased to announce they have signed a contract with NAPA AUTO PARTS as their major sponsor for the upcoming 2002 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.

Flying the NAPA blue and gold banner on his new Dodge Ram truck, Gaughan, the reigning Winston West Champion, will enter into a full year of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competition, running for both the overall Championship and Rookie-of-the-Year honors.

"We are really excited and proud to have the national backing of NAPA," says team owner Bill McAnally. "We have worked with them on a regional basis for a number of years and couldn't ask for a better sponsor. Their aggressive, up-beat marketing and attention to detail fits right in with racing and their association with our team is extremely beneficial."

Racing full time in the NASCAR Winston West Series for the past two years, Gaughan earned the 2000 Winston West crown for NAPA and currently leads this year's point's chase with just one race left. In addition, carrying the NAPA colors, he has also showed his prowess in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, earning a third at Bakersfield and a second at Texas Motor Speedway.

"Brendan Gaughan and Orleans Racing have done an outstanding job for us in the past," says Steve Handschuh, President of NAPA. "And, we are looking forward to a great season in 2002. It is a pleasure to work with such a professional team and we feel that this will be the beginning of a very beneficial partnership."
