SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Empire Super Sprint (ESS) chauffeur R.C. Faigle and his Blackjack Motorsports #21A dirt track sprint cars will showacse the logos of Miller Lite Beer and Nice-N-Easy Grocery Shoppe's for the 2001 season. In joint venture with Kevin Osborne from Miller, Inc. and John MacDougall of Nice-N-Easy, the Manlius, N.Y. resident has now received sponsorship backing to be a major force in the ESS Tour 2001.
The Blackjack Motorsports fleet will consist of two complete Maxim sprint cars powered by Jimmy D's Speed and Machine alcohol burning powerplants. In just his second full season, Faigle finished tenth in the ESS point standings for 2000 with two feature wins. With the additions of Miller Lite and Nice-N-Easy, fans can expect the black sprinters near the front at all of the 35 event schedule of the Empire Super Sprints.
"To land such major backing will be a huge boost for my team this year." noted Faigle, 30, a Tavern owner in Syracuse. "The ESS tour is long and greuling, you need the proper funding to keep your cars up front. With the help from Miller Lite and Nice-N-Easy I hope that will give me the little extra boost to maybe finish in the top five in points or even higher."
Fans can also expect Faigle's sprint cars at many Nice-N-Easy Grocery Shoppes in New York State for special appearances as well as the two World of Outlaw events held at the Lebanon Valley Speedway and Rolling Wheels Raceway.
