Brodix Cylinder Heads To Sponsor Heat Event Point Fund for the Empire Super Sprints.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. ^Ö In another unique sponsorship program for the Empire Super Sprint (ESS) Tour 2002, Brodix Cylinder Heads will provide special funding for a separate points standing that will be earned from every heat event run this season. Each night will find eight lap qualifying heat events to transfer drivers to the A-Main. Drivers will earn points for their finishes and at seasons end a special $1000 point fund will be shared by the top ten drivers.
A total of $200 will go to the point champion with $50 handed out to the 10th placeman in the final standings. During the coarse of the season many different drivers are victorious in the short qualifying events. This special fund that will be distributed at the annual awards banquet on November 16th , held at the Turning Stone Casino, will reward the drivers for a job well done.
The sponsorship adds to the already record total of cash programs that will be a part of the ESS Tour 2002. Along with the season long point fund that will total over $25,000, VSM Abrasives will provide a special $5,000 funding for all Canadian events. Along with Brodix, cash sponsorships at the end of the season will also come from Walt^Òs Hobby, Sander Engineering, Outerwears, MSD Ignitions, Jereco Engines and Parts, and Foar Score Fan Club which total near $35,000.
The 19th season for ESS boasts a record 39 dates. Over a half-a-million dollars will be handed out to some of the best 360 sprint car drivers in the nation. The mud slingin^Ò action starts Sat. night April 13 and the ultra-fast Black Rock Speedway. While several ESS stars already shook off the ^ÓWinter Rust^Ô during the annual 360 Nationals at the East Bay Raceway, it all gets going for real at the famed Yates County oval. You can bet that it will be excitement guaranteed!!!
