Coronado, California - New Jersey based FX Racing and Epic Racing of Coronado, California have announced the formation of a partnership to jointly pursue future motorsports opportunities.
"Aligning with an established motorsports organization is a very exciting development," stated Frank Bain, owner/driver of FX Racing. "I have worked extremely hard during the past few years to move my driving career forward. This relationship with Epic Racing is a tremendous positive step in continuing that direction."
Epic Racing will immediately take over management responsibilities for the development of the young driver's career. Additionally, Epic Racing staff will handle all race logistics, marketing, sponsor fulfillment and hospitality coordination.
Epic Racing will be pursuing opportunities for Bain to compete this season in the Skip Barber National Formula Dodge Series and Superkarts! USA National Promoto Tour. In addition they have planned testing opportunities in the USFormula Ford 2000 and Formula Mazda series'.
"Frank Bain has real potential as a driver," stated Harry Schwartz, President of Epic Racing. "He has a unique combination of driving talent and engineering knowledge that is not often seen in racers. Not only can he get the car around the track, but he can communicate to the crew exactly how the car is responding. Furthermore, sponsors love him.he's bright, outgoing and has a great sense of humor."
The team is focusing immediate attention on developing investor and sponsor interest along with seeking long-term ride opportunities. "The season is upon us," noted Bain, "we are in the midst of developing our marketing partner support and expect to have our sponsor program finalized in the next 30 days."
Frank Bain is a recent graduate of Rutgers University, School of Engineering. He has been competing in various forms of motorsports, with an emphasis on karting, for the past seven years as driver, owner, engineer and coach. Most recently he competed in the Superkarts! USA karting series winning the 2000 Northeast Championship in its premier S1 class.
Epic Racing has operated a two car team in the BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series for the past two years with Jack Willes, Steve Pelke and Gary Johnson as drivers. For the 2001 season, Epic Racing is supporting the efforts of Trans-Am Series veteran Leighton Reese and his Banner Engineering / Phillips 66 sponsored Corvette.
