Lucas Oil Products Becomes The Official Lubricant Of The Sunoco Super Series

Salem, IN (February 9, 2002) – CRA Sunoco Super Series announced today that Lucas Oil Products has agreed to become the “Official Lubricant” of the series for the upcoming 2002 race season. The Sunoco Super Series joins a list of 28 major motorsports organizations, and race vehicle sponsorships that Lucas Oil Products will support in 2002 including NHRA, NASCAR, ARCA RE/Max, UTDRA, USAR, and CORR.

We are really excited about being involved with the Sunoco Super Series,” said Don Corsette, General Manager of Lucas Oil. “This sponsorship keeps us involved with the grass roots racer, as well as marketing with a high profile regional series.”

Lucas Oil Products, headquartered in Corona, California, is one of the fastest growing additive lines in the consumer automotive industry. Founded by Forrest and Charlotte Lucas in 1989, the company offers a premium line of oils, greases, and problem solving additives, which has helped established Lucas as a prominent figure in the marketplace.

In addition to promoting its consumer automotive products, Lucas Oil Products will use the Sunoco Super Series to promote its newly developed line of high performance engine and gear oils. Lucas Oil Products will award the top three finishers at every Sunoco Super Series event in 2002 with a case of one of its high performance engine oils or gear oils.

“Because we make a product that holds up to the extreme measures that race cars go through, it’s important for racers to be able to use products they can rely on,” said Corsette. “The racing industry is a great place for Lucas Oil to prove its dependability not just to racers but to the average consumer as well!”
