CNYMS Announces Ownership Change
Sodus, NY - The Central New York Mini Sprint Series was a club-run racing organization up until a couple of years ago. At that time, the club had grown beyond a capacity for its membership to continue its management. Then stepped in ISG Racing LLC. ISG Racing purchased the series and the management team of Mike Emhof and Bob Stanhope assumed all day-to-day operations. Due to a number or personal commitments and professional changes for Bob Stanhope over the past year, he has decided to step away from the Central New York Mini Sprint series and has reached an agreement with Emhof to assume full ownership effective immediately.
"There are so many great people in racing and CNYMS is no exception," said Stanhope.
"I have made a number of friends within the CNYMS racing family and hope to continue those, but at this time I can no longer do that on a race-to-race basis. Mike is a great friend and really carried the series in 2005 when my dad passed away and I had another business venture come back to the surface," continued Stanhope.
"Lori Wallace also did a tremendous job keeping the show moving on race days and I appreciate all she has done for the series over the past couple of years. I extend that same gratitude to everyone that continues to grow this series, it is one of the best in the country," expressed Stanhope.
Stanhope will be operating the Sugar Hill Speedway in Weare, New Hampshire as well as the Hot Laps Karting Center, which offers corporate racing outings at the speedway.
"We sometimes try to do too much in our lives and then we realize that we can't do it all," said Stanhope. "This new business venture allows me to be closer to my family, which is so crucial at this time."
Emhof has been in full stride since the championship banquet and is close to releasing a 2006 schedule. To stay current on all of the racing news with CNYMS, log on to www.cnyms.com.
