Leading Internet hosting solutions firm, NTWebhost.co.uk have today announced that they will sponsor club racer, Chris Yates in the 2002 Mighty Mini Championship.

Although best known in the motorsport arena for their support of Clio V6 ace, Rick Pearson the London-based company are keen to expand their presence on the national racing scene. Dickie Armour, Head of Sales for NTWebhost said:“ We have benefited enormously from our involvement with Rick’s pan-European campaign this season. Due to the success we’ve had with our driver representation programme on the continent, it is now time to give our UK-based clients a similar deal.

“ After looking at the available championships, we arrived at the conclusion that few can rival Mini racing in the sheer entertainment stakes. Chris is a very personable young man and we have no doubts that he will be a great ambassador for our company. We wish him every success for the forthcoming season.”

The Mighty Mini Championship regularly provides scintillating on-track battles and close, competitive racing. The feisty 1.3i Mini Coopers are a definite crowd favourite and in turn, boast some of the largest grids in the country. With an average of thirteen rounds per season, the championship showcases its talent at a range of top circuits including Silverstone, Rockingham, Donington Park, Brands Hatch and Snetterton.

Despite being a relative newcomer to motor racing, Yates has already proven that he can hold his own in the Mini pack.“ I’m delighted that NTWebhost will be supporting me in 2002,” he said.“ I’ve followed Rick’s career as he’s progressed through the Clio Cup into the V6 Trophy so it’s great that we will be promoting the same brand next season.“

Chris Yates will next be in action at Snetterton, October 13-14 for the final round of the Mighty Mini championship.
