CARNIVAL CITY OFF-ROAD EXPO COULD BECOME ANNUAL AFFAIR
The Off-Road Expo that will form part of the Carnival City 400, the final MSA Off Road Car Championship event of the year on November 16 and 17, could become an annual affair.
The Off-Road Expo will run from November 15 to 17 from 10h00 to 22h00 in the Big Top Arena at Carnival City Casino near Brakpan. The Carnival City 400 sees Sun International's return to the off-road fold as a major sponsor, and will decide a number of championship issues.
Exhibitors at the Off-Road Expo will include motor manufacturers and importers with a number of highly interesting vehicles on display. A wide range of motor accessories and camping equipment will also be exhibited, and vehicles taking part in the Carnival City 400 will be on view on November 15.
"We are hoping the Off-Road Expo will become an annual affair," said Carnival City general manager Rod Walker. "There has been a resurgence of interest in off-road racing, and we are delighted to again be a part of the national championship.
"With the resurgence of off-road racing there is a need for an expo of this kind and, working hand in hand with the MSA Off-Road Car Racing Commission, we would like to build the Carnival City 400 and Off-Road Expo into one of the showpieces of the year.
"The potential is here for tremendous growth, and so far the response we have had from manufacturers and other potential exhibitors has been more than positive."
