The "Little Trees" 150 presented by Pepsi will be held on August 11 in conjunction with the NASCAR Winston Cup weekend, August 9-12.
"We are very delighted to have the opportunity to team up with a track close to our headquarters in Watertown, NY," said Matt Larrivee, "Little Trees" motorsports manager. "This exciting relationship with Watkins Glen enables us to reinforce our support of stock car racing and serves as a strong tie-in with our sponsorship of the #61 "Little Trees" Busch North Series team."
The 2001 Winston Cup weekend features dramatic racing by premier drivers in stock car racing, including three-time winner Jeff Gordon and the reigning Global Crossing @ The Glen winner, Steve Park. Complementing the Winston Cup race is the "Little Trees" 150 presented by Pepsi and night racing on Friday night with the Grand American 250. "Watkins Glen is thrilled that another New York company has chosen to partner with us and take advantage of the excitement of NASCAR racing," said Sperber. "The combination of the "Little Trees" 150 presented by Pepsi NASCAR Busch North Series and the Global Crossing @ The Glen NASCAR Winston Cup Series races is sure to provide fans with a tremendous weekend of racing."
