DAYTONA BEACH Fla. (October 27, 2001) - The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) today announced that Lee Roy has joined the organization as the Busch North Series, NASCAR Touring director, effective immediately.

A resident of Yarmouth, Maine, Roy joins the Busch North Series after a career that included crew member duties for former Busch North Series champion Ricky Craven of Newburgh, Me., and fellow NASCAR competitor Kevin Lepage of Shelburne, Vt., from 1986-1989. Roy also has nearly 30 years of racing and instructing experience with the Porsche Club of America.

Roy, 56, is a graduate of the University of Vermont and also holds a Masters Degree from the University of Southern Maine. Roy replaces Interim Series Director Ed Cox, who remains with NASCAR as Special Services Representative and Featherlite Modified Series, NASCAR Touring Director.
